Capturing every bit of health information in your everyday life
March 29, 2023
We believe that the future of healthcare is not just about treating illnesses, but about predicting and preventing them. And that the most promising way to do that is to monitor health in everyday life.
Over years of partnership with Bern University Hospital, we have developed more than 1'200 digital measures capturing the tiny bits of health information that a person leaves in everyday life—on physiology, mobility, activity, behavior, and more—all based on contactless, zero-interaction sensing technology.
Our research has demonstrated that this “digital exhaust” of health measures can be surprisingly powerful to assess health outcomes including fall risk, frailty, mild cognitive impairment, and late-life depression. It can help detect early signs of health degradation and neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer’s, and guide the discovery of novel digital biomarkers—opening up more proactive, personalized approaches to care.
